"In other business, commissioners:- granted variances to Grand Harbor, a large development on the west side of Lake Bridgeport, which would allow 100-foot lot spacing at the right of way instead of the county’s current 150-foot minimum and a sideyard setback of 5 feet instead of 10 feet under the county’s rules. In exchange the developer has promised to provide a fire protection system with fire hydrants every 500 feet which would be fully charged and pressurized with the development’s private water system."

"Developers of the Grand Harbor Subdivision, located on a portion of the former Sid Richardson Boy Scout Ranch property on the west side of Lake Bridgeport, will appear to ask for variances in its preliminary plat.Among those variances are reducing lot size width from 150 feet to 100 feet.In return, the county wants the developer to put in a fire protection system that ties into the subdvision’s water supply system."
